The Circle City is full of exciting experiences from world class dining and local shops to cultural events and professional sports.

- Start your day at @cafepatachou in the new @thestutzbuilding for brunch. Enjoy your meal with their legendary cinnamon toast and unlimited coffee. Then walk around the area and check out the local shops like our favorite, @groundedplantfloralco

- Head further downtown to check out Monument Circle then Mass Ave, where you can walk the 5 blocks full of local shops and great restaurants. Also in the area is the @bottleworksindy when you’ll find more shops, bowling, a food hall, and a movie theater all in the former historic Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

- Stop for a margs and tacos at @bakersfieldmassave, a cocktail at prohibition-era @bnbindy, or a beer at @rathskellerindy.

- For dinner, head to @commissionrowindy for an expertly prepared steak and seafood dinner.

- Now for the best part! Walk next door to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to cheer on the @pacers!

- Plan to stay the night at @hotelindy to be in the center of it all! Here you’ll be able to walk almost everywhere in Downtown Indy. Not to mention, the rooms and amenities are fantastic and there’s a rooftop bar to enjoy a post-game cocktail.

Set among rolling vineyards, this pasta-making class is located in an adorable Tuscan villa just outside of Florence. Here you’ll learn to make pasta from scratch along with a typical meat dish and a dessert with the one and only Lulu as your incredible teacher!

Learning to make pasta and cook authentic Italian dishes while visiting Italy is the best souvenir you can bring back home with you. And don’t worry, you’ll get the recipes for the dishes you make so you can recreate them at home!

We decided to visit Siena on our way to Florence f

We decided to visit Siena on our way to Florence from Montepulciano as a way to round out our Tuscan countryside roadtrip. And let me tell you, it was the perfect place to stop and wander around for a few hours (I’d recommend spending at least an entire day though!). The town is truly a timeless gem in the rolling Tuscan hills.

If you plan on visiting the Cathedral (and you should, it’s absolutely incredible!) here’s a secret: go to the Museo dell’Opera first and check out the Facciatone before visiting the Cathedral. The line to enter the Cathedral was super long when we arrived, but the workers told us to do it this way and when we finished the Museo, the line was gone and we walked straight in!

Where:
Siena is a historic city in Tuscany, famous for its medieval architecture, vibrant culture, and the Palio horse race. Located about 1 hour south of Florence by car or train, it’s a must-visit for its well-preserved charm.

What to do:
• Piazza del Campo: Siena’s iconic shell-shaped square is home to the Palazzo Pubblico and Torre del Mangia. You can climb the tower for panoramic views of the city and countryside.
• Explore the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo: Located next to the cathedral. Do this before the Cathedral and follow the signs to Facciatone at the top of the stairs! This will take you to the Panorama and give you incredible views of the cathedral and the city.
• Siena Cathedral (Duomo di Siena): the inside of the gothic style Cathedral is absolutely stunning! Be sure to check out the Piccolomjni library located inside as well.
• Stroll the Medieval Streets: Wander through Siena’s winding streets, stopping at artisan shops for ceramics, leather goods, or souvenirs.
• Basilica of San Domenico: Visit this important church to see relics of Saint Catherine of Siena and enjoy a peaceful moment away from the crowds.
• Gelato at La Vecchia Latteria: Treat yourself to some of the best gelato in Siena.

What else to know:

• Best Time to Visit: Early spring or fall for pleasant weather and less tourists. Avoid peak times like the Palio days unless you’re attending the race.
• Getting Around: Siena’s historic center is pedestrian-only. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes for walking the hilly, cobblestone streets.
• Parking Tip: If driving, park at one of the city’s lots (we parked at “Il Campo”) and walk into the center.
